Since the rise of Amazon first as an online retailer, second as a Data Center innovator people have always been surprised by their success. They came to dominate in 2 fields somewhat loosely related to one another. But it’s the second wave of Amazon as a Data Cloud service provider that interests me the most. It’s one thing to provide a service, a whole other to provide an raw infrastructure that you are willing to loan out on an hourly basis.
